Plein air course on Alabaster Coast and Etretat

Celebrate 150th Anniversary of Impressionism at the place where it all began. A week of painting with tutor Julia Hawkins in Monet’s Etretat and surroundings - with the world-famous cliffs, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site - nearby. The holiday includes painting in Etretat, sketching trips to local villages visited by the Impressionists, group and individual tuition and a trip to Musee Eugene Boudin in Honfleur. Teaching takes place in groups and individually. The course is suitable for all abilities and will help move your plein air practice to a new level.

COST

£650 (Includes accommodation, tuition fee, supper on the arrival day and breakfast on the second). 
£100 security deposit is required by the owner, returnable if no damage incurred.
Food is not included in the price.

 

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation has been arranged at Le Domaine des Platanes, Etretat with each student having their own room. Excellent kitchen facilities and communal dining area provided. The accommodation is in the 19th cent. modernised brick Georgian-style building, providing individual rooms for six students respectively. Bathrooms and WC’s are located in the corridor on each floor. There are also two separate cottages available for the rest of the group.

 

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

Students will make their own way to the location by car and ferry, and should get their own travel and accident insurance cover. Trips and excursions will be made in individual cars or on a car-sharing basis.
